In the simplest terms and the most convenient definitions, I am a librarian by vocation and a photographer by avocation. I love non sequiturs, so…In my teens, I was given the fateful choice between arts school for music or an alternative school for writing and an early graduation. I chose the latter. That particular winding path eventually led to a visual communications program where I was given a damaged, but still functioning Nikon. The rest is photographic history. While I can scarcely imagine living anywhere but my beloved home city of Milwaukee, I can hardly resist the call of wanderlust. I’m allergic to almost everything. I’ve been going to Tai Chi and Shaolin school for years, but I’m good at neither. I don’t eat pork. I’d rather hang out with my dogs than most people. I’m socially liberal and have socialist leanings. Catholicism, Serbian Orthodoxy, Paganism, and Buddhism are all represented in my family (I even have a vague memory of an ashram), but while they’ve all had influence, I’ve set my cap with none in particular. I may just be crazy, I am part Serbian after all. My next trip out of the United States will be to Antarctica. If you want to know anything else, just ask.
